I got the conditional offer of employment yesterday (I have to pass the medical exam and the phyical test again on day 1 of the academy) but don't know when the academy will start yet.  Could be Dec. (not very likely) or any time the first quarter of next year.

I'd like to thank a lot of the folks on this board who helped me out without knowing they were doing so.

I read a lot of the stuff on here, especially the stuff that dealt with hiring processes, oral boards, etc..  



So thanks to you guys and if all works out fine on the treadmill in a week I may have something usefull to add to the board in a decade or so.  I might have to start studying my state and local laws to get a headstart on the academy pain.
