Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - MO State Highway Patrol helicopter crashes today 8/7/02

A Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter crashed today.  The two man crew was injured but it has been reported that the injuries are not life threatening.  The helicopter crashed at approximately 10am today as it was taking off for drug eradication.

I think a prayer for these two Brothers would be in order.

One of my best friends was one of the rubberneckers there and said both pilot and passenger were seen to be lying on the ground on either side of the chopper (after either getting out or being taken out).

He said it looked like the helicopter had been dropped from about 2 stories.  OUCH

They landed in the median of HWY 65 near Division, and near H.Q.

glad they were ok
