If you are into firearms history, check out this rifle found in a dusty corner of a gunshop somewhere.  It is supposed to be a Savage prototype of a 303 British Infantry rifle made to try to win a contract.

Very interesting rifle.  It would not surprise me if it were real though.

I have a WWII Enfield No.4 Mk something that was made by Savage.  On the left side of the receiver it is plainly marked- U.S. Property.
Savage arms etc...

Very nice rifle, I would bet that Savage made a large number of rifles for the Brits.
