Keep the preban upper off the lower and it sounds fine... But I don't work for the BATF :)

As long as you keep the pre-ban lower, meaning that you have a legal combination for the pre-ban upper, you're fine. If you ONLY had a post-ban lower, it would be a bad idea to have a complete pre-ban upper laying around. Though if you disassembled it (i.e., remove the barrel from the upper), then you'd be okay. The ability to "assemble an illegal AW in seconds without tools" is what ATF doesn't like.

Thanks for the help. I'll get my new upper and not worry. I like the scope setup much better on the A3 configuration. If I every do get rid of the preban - I can't imagine I will, I'll just thrown in both uppers. Thanks again. This site is sure great for AR15 fans.
