I know that a barrel must be 16 inches or more in length, and the overall rifle must be 26 inches, but how do folding stocks muddy the water?

It is my belief that folders are officially measured with the stock in the shoulder firing position.

Behold my evidence:  This is my UZI Model A.  We all know of them, and the fact that they are here legally.  Pegboard holes are 1 inch apart, and you can see that it is between 24 and 25 inches folded.  Ergo, the measuremnt must be taken with the stock in a shoulder firing position (Unfolded or extended), otherwise they would not have been allowed in...

AM I CORRECT???

federaly its mesuresed with the srock in its farthest extended postion. in other words its mesuered with the stock unfolded . but some states like california mesure with the stock folded/collapsed
