How many clicks out when shooting standard Iron sights?
I pretty much always run mine 2 clicks out for fully collapsed... Wait, no, I always run mine 2 clicks out.
How many stock clicks away from fully collapsed you prefer when shooting iron sights.
I run a Sully stock so I cannot vote.
How many lick's till i reach the candy center-mass?
I use a 4 position CAR stock since it fits my shoulder nicely (and it's lighter and costs less). I am one click out with nose to CH for irons or aimpoint. It's about 8 3/4" from receiver to butt. (I have a medium build) Just use what's comfortable to you. |
Thoes are pretty cool, 120 bones though? I thought they were cheaper than that. |
There are 2 different kinds of carbine receiver extenstions. 6 position, and 4 position. So this variable must be accounted for or your poll data will be skewed.

My stock doesn't click....unless you run over it with a truck.
My stock doesn't click either. My stock is fully extended and my nose is to the charging handle. I find the standard M4 stock to be a bit on the short side fully extended.
My CTR only has three clicks out - and I usually shoot with it fully extended. I put my nose to the charging handle.

All of my ARs have fixed A2 stocks. Same here. I have an M4 upper on an A2 lower with an A2 stock. I've never been comfortable with a collapsable stock. That being said, nose to the charging handle for me when using iron sights. My Dad taught me how to shoot small-bore early on in life, so I naturally get my eye as close to the aperture as I can. I've taught my kids the same. |
whatever feels comfortable for you. I'm out 2, but pick what feels comfortable.
Nose to charging handle. Stock is at 5 clicks in all positions (standing, kneeling, sitting, prone).
how can I keep my nose on the charging handle when I'm blading like a mofo, adrenaline dumping and yelling "I AM USING MY IRON SIGHTS, YOU WILL NOT TOUCH MY COLLAPSIBLE STOCK"

Depends if I am shooting at small targets long range I use a traditional Offhand shooting stance I run the stock all the way out. If I am shooting squared up to the target and at a fast paced IE deffensive stance I put the stock on the 2nd click.
IF you find the stock to long your'e shooting with a traditional offhand shooting line stance. |
6 out, shoot from the hip, .05 moa, center mass, watch pocket to CH.

Fully extended, my nose is NOWHERE near the charging handle, i find it easier to get the front post centered, and i find myself more accurate.
A2 fixed and it is still a bit short––-nose over charging handle.
on a six position i use have it about half way out to where you can see the buffer get wider
3 'clicks' out normally
2 'clicks' out if I am wearing body armor... |
If I could see the Iron sites I would respond
The make scopes and RDS for old guys like me |

Precision rifle in prone it's all the way out. Very close in when I'm doing a shoot and move carbine course. |
That depends on how I'm shooting. 2 clicks for up close and moving the rifle around. More for shooting from the bench. I'm a tall guy (6'4").
