Ok so I found out im a foot dragger on the fencing strip.. and the metal cheese grater wipe out one of my shoelaces. whats the best way to add a new Aglet to it? Length is good. just needs a new end..

Heat-shrink insulation for electrical wiring. You can find them at the hardware store in various diameters. Black, about four inches long. Forget the correct name for them.

They are sold in packages of ten or so for a buck or two.

ETA;

Cut one to length, slip it on, shrink with a hair dryer, heat gun, lighter, etc.
Cut four and your shoes have matching laces.

Congratulation on using agelet as the topic of a thread

ETA:

If you need metal because of the wear, the inside of an electricial crimp connector might work, if the lace will go it.

ETA:

If you need metal because of the wear, the inside of an electricial crimp connector might work, if the lace will go it.


Heat shrink should work.. just the laces were too long so one of the loops got drug too much.. they give you these long ass laces for size 8 shoes.. im like WTF!

I'm sure in a min it will be fixed to say size 13





although it really depends on the makers I wear a 10 in sneakers and my current shoes are 8.5 and boots are like 8.



makes buying shoes online a no go for me :(

Could you triple knot?  Or even better thread the loops back under the laces to hold them in place?

LOL was trippled.. these things look like I could of used them on my matterhorns.. I could of built a raft with them..
