I had to hurry to the store earlier before they closed for the evening. I forgot that my normal CCW weapon was laying disassembled on a rag in my kitchen, so I grabbed the closest thing, a USP Match, and hurried out the door. It actually concealed well for the short time I was out, though the longggg barrel kept digging into my crotchal region.

Whats the most ridiculous weapon you have ever concealed-carried?

Desert Eagle?
Hand Grenade? (Glock)
AR pistol?
SW 500?

Im sure some of you bastards have good stories

Hand grenade (Glock)

Mainly because that's all I've ever CCed.

But the grenade part isn't so true. I don't know of any 26 that has had a kB!.

Oh but part of the joke is that all Glocks blow up, right? OK I'll play along.

Nothing more capable than a Benchmade knife.  The fact that I've never been legally able to CC due to Illinois' laws is ridiculous enough.

Depending on who you ask, my Ruger LCP 380 is ridiculous.  On the other end, I have carried full size CZ75, 97, and double stack 1911, and some people thing those are ridiculous.

I have both a Desert Eagle and a Ruger Redhawk, and have daydreamed about carrying them at various points.  I have just been to cheap to actually get a good holster for them.

I was sitting in the front seat of a State Policeman's cruiser (it was raining and his back seat was full of junk) getting a ticket for speeding back when I was about 19.

I had a sawed off 12ga double (Mad Max'd) stuffed into the inside pocket of my winter coat ........no foolin. (long story)

I have never prayed so hard in my entire life (thank you God) as I did that rainy night.

Not really ridiculous, but my S&W 1086 DAO 10mm.  The thing weighs a ton, but is really nice to shoot.  I think I only carried it one day.  I still have the holster for it though if I decide to carry it again.

Regular carry peice is the Kahr MK9, third from the top.

The good news is, I've upgraded to an NAA .32acp.

While I do have a DE .357, it ain't a carry weapon.

I did this once too!

I actually killed a coyote with it too. I posted a thread about it back when it happened. I had taken to carrying the USP/UTL on late night walks, and a coyote came out of the brush and squared off with my dog. I hit him with one round of .45. He ran about 20 yards into the creekbed, my dog took off after him, and I found him dead in the creekbed with my dog standing over him.

I carried the USP/UTL for about a month total, during the winter, in the pocket of a large winter coat. I have since sold that pistol, but good memories.

I always thought it would be cool to try this, but I'm hindered by a couple of factors. One, I can't ccw in my state, and 2, even if I could I don't own a Desert Eagle. It sounds a lot like trying to hide a cinder block on your person though.

This.

I had to walk from the train station in San Francisco, in the projects where OJ grew up.  Just having the little .22 in my briefcase made me give off a vibe that I do not choose victimhood.  Now that I have examined the various gelatin impact charts, I will never again trust my life to .22 lr.  What was I thinking?

Currently for CCW I always carry an LCP in an ankle holster.  Wherever possible, I also have a Glock 26 or a Glock 30 in my briefcase or book bag or car, in addition to the LCP on my ankle.

Rigger's axe from about 14-16 (made my own shoulder rig for it), then a 13" Bowie knife until I was about 18. As a boring old man of almost 40 , I carry - and prefer - guns now but I once saved myself from getting a serious ass-beating by just pulling back my cover shirt and putting my hand on the axe haft. The "What kind of fucking freak fights with a tomahawk?" expressions were priceless.

A four iron.  That's about it, but several years ago I was in a pool room and this character walks in the door who was known to be a tad bit crazy.   He had a trench coat on.  He opened his coat to reveal his carry for the day.  It was a Thompson submachine gun.   I didn't get the back-story, just kept shooting pool with one eye on him.      I won some money from him a few days earlier and he was firing blanks.   For some reason I didn't press the issue too hard.  He could barely hold a stick so it wasn't like I stood to lose anyway.    ha

When VA first did Shall issue, the permit was a Concealed Weapon Permit.  Technically, you could have carried a NFA micro or mini UZI if you had one and wanted to.  They changed that pretty quickly to a Concealed Handgun Permit.  Since it's a 5 year permit, all the original Concealed Weapon Permits have long since expired.
