MSNBC Poll:

Do you agree with former President Jimmy Carter that racism is tainting the political debate?

I'm tired of race being slung about as a reason to oppose Obama's policies.

Hit this ... Leave the link cold:

I was in high school when this jackass was President.  Worst damn U.S. President in recent history.  I turned 18 my senior year, just in time to help vote him out of office.  I've voted every national election since.

I'll confess that I hadn't paid alot of attention to local and state elections.  Until now.

Maybe, but he is right. I hear that a lot lately.
I don't hate Obama because he's black. I hate him because he's an idiot.

The only thing I have ever agreed with him on is that peanuts are good.

Screw Jimmy Carter. He needs to go back to the peanut farm, or at least stick to habitat for humanity and mission work. He's got about as much credibility as Al Gore in my book.

I second the vote on Peanuts!

I especially like the boiled ones you can only get at small roadside stands down south, Yum.

I miss living in Georgia.

Yes. The election of the nation's first African-American president is bringing it to the surface.

Jimmy Carter will go down in history as one of our greatest presidents. He's a man of unique and wonderful insight.

Un-frickin-believable that most of the polled still agree with Carter.

On second thought - I agree that prejudice is everywhere.  The left's stereotypes of everyone on the right, that is.  We're just all a bunch of fat, rich klansmen, right?  They sure know how to make people feel bad for doing nothing at all.

And besides - Where was all this hooplah during Thomas' confirmation?  Why was it cool to caricature Condi Rice?  Why are lefties way farther out there than Alan Keyes immune from the scorn he gets?

Hit, but I don't like how that question is worded.

It seems like it could be easily made to make the people who voted 'No' racists.

Secondly, I do agree that racism is becoming a problem in politics, but not in the way the MSM thinks.
