I can't pick just one.. I couldn't even pick a favorite BAND!!
Lots of "favorites", but to pick a fovorite, I'm going with:
Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd Simply awesome song. |
"Wish You Were Here"-Pink Floyd.
"Over the Hills and Far Away"-Led Zeppelin a VERY close 2nd. |
Battle of New Orleans either Johnny Horton or the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Hard to pick just one.... Tool definite favorite band.
I guess I would have to go with "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, I have loved that song since I was a kid and it never gets old. |
Way to many good songs to have one favorite. It's all about the mood I'm in at the time.

What is your all time favorite song musical composition?
Johann Sebastian Bach's "Brandenburg" Concertos |
Tossup:
Voodoo Chile Slight Return by Jimi or Animal by Pearl Jam |
If I had to pick just one...I think maybe "We Just Disagree" by Dave Mason. Or maybe "All This Time" by Sting.
Mancini's "Baby elephant walk" always seems to sum-up my general attitude about everything...

What is your all time favorite song musical composition? Johann Sebastian Bach's "Brandenburg" Concertos Very cool! Love the Allegro in G movement. Used to play it on the guitar for warm-ups. Bach is definitely my favorite classical/baroque composer. You know... I had to think about my "favorite song" for a bit. My favorite bands have always been prog rock/metal bands. But I love all kinds of music and depending upon my mood, my favorite song at the moment changes. So I had to think about what song consistantly moves me whenever I heard it. And as hard as it was to admit to myself, I would have to say "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey. Whenever that song comes on the radio, I'm instantly engrossed in it. No matter what mood I'm in! This personal revelation came as quite a surprize to me as I'd never realized it before now. |

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
Definitely one of my all time favorites. |
Aaron Copelands "Fanfare For the Common Man"
As performed by Emerson, Lake and Palmer This is my personal "Theme" song |
Even the best song gets old if you listen to it enough. There are a few that give me goose bumps almost every time I here them:
Foreplay-Long Time, by Boston Carry on my Wayward Son by Kansas Red Barchetta by Rush It would be hard to pick between those, for me. |
2nd movement, L.V. Beethovens Third Symphony.
A close second: "Harvester of Eyes" by Blue Oyster Cult. The Ol' Crew Chief |
A Country Boy Can Survive - Hank Jr
Can't You See - Marshall Tucker Band What I Like About Texas - Gary P Nunn Aint No God In Mexico - Billy Joe Shaver |
