More than I'd like to admit. Most fucked up was when I was 10 or 11. Walked over to a friend's house after school - he lived about 7 houses down - and we walked in to find his parents dead. Dad killed his mom(teacher at local middle school), then killed himself. I literally had to drag him out of there and over to my house.

I assume you mean outside of a funeral.
But yes, quite a few. |

Had an employee die at work a month ago from a heart attack.
I was the first person there. She died in the cooler of a restaraunt, she was cold by the time I could check for a pulse. Seen a few driving. Was on my motorcycle and saw a big accident in front of me, so I stopped to help people out of the truck that had crashed. Turns out it wasnt a truck, but a van that was seriously fucked up. The driver was broken in half. All I remember is the passenger crawling out, covered in his own blood screaming worried about his best friend that had just died. |

All kinds. Fresh, decomp, hanging, gunshot wounds, stabbings, car wrecks, even had one who was mentally i'll and was not taking his meds. Chopped up his mother (he was a butcher by trade) kept her head in the frige and when being interviewed, had no clue as to what he did and was inviting us home for dinner all the while picking pieces of flesh from his shirt and eating it. Close to retirement (one more year). Like the earlier post said. You never forget it.

I was first on the scene at a skydiving accident. The person died from natural causes while under canopy. It took about an hour in a Texas summer to find him. The ants found him first.

yes. anyone here seen dead children? Yes, they're the worst. One sick fuck we had here got the father drunk and passed out. He later raped and killed his 9 year old daughter and put her in a trash bag in the trash bin outside. father woke up, noted his daughter missing. Contacted us. we went searching. A buddy of mine who was securing the perimeter just happened to take a peek in the bin. UNFORGIVABLE! |

yes. anyone here seen dead children? Yea, saw an accident in front of me where someone tried to beat a red light making a left turn not realizing a semi coming the opposite way was going to try the same thing but straight through. They met head on. It was a small subcompact car. There was about a 5 year old girl in the passenger seat that got decapitated. The mom died later on. I intended on helping but there was nothing I could do except calm the trucker down and get him to call 911(I didn't have a cell phone at the time). |

This would be an interesting question for 8th graders and people from certain democrat douchebag states of the Midwest that have fucked the rest of the country over with their naive voting. [Some midwesterners (including relatives) are patriotic, worldly souls that waste their vote on Republicans, so it isn't a blanket rip] Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot? Over. |
|
yes. I baby and the rest a mix of suicide/natural causes/car accidents and shot.
For some reason it has never bothered me and have never had one pop up in a dream or anything......... |
|
i think the only one that bugged me was this local kid, riding his bike to school, coming out of MCAS miramar, getting mashed by a cement truck coming out of a quarry.

The worst part is seeing the families deal with it. Yep, I would rather see 100 dead bodies than the look on one family members face when they get the news |

I've seen a few.
Once, I saw the coroner fishing a body out of a river in a rural area in the Central Valley of California. Another time, I saw the result of a motorcycle accident on I-80 near the Nevada/Utah border. They were covering the body with a tarp, but you could see the guy's brains smashed all over the road. |

Firefighter / Paramedic If I had to guess I'd say I've probably seen 750 dead bodies. If they are workable I have a 60% average of getting pulses back. Seen em die from pretty much every cause you could imagine, and then some. It really doesn't mean anything anymore, I can walk out of the room of the most gruesome thing most people have ever seen and proceed to eat my lunch. I have to agree with a few of the things posted so far. 1 - If one of them is going to get to you, it's going to be a kid, especially the ones that are burned up. 2 - The hardest thing to do in my job is when I have to break the news to the family, that's fucking hard. |

cadaver viewing. touched every part of the human body, male/female organs and all.

Twice when I was working on the Mississippi River on the barges, jumpers off the Wabashaw bridge. Once when a lady strangled herself from a handicapped tiolet stall, I worked in a pysch ward for eight years.
Actually a few more than that now that I think about it, when I worked at the hospital. Worked in patient transport for awhile, mainly had to wheel people down to tests. But once in a while you would bring someone to a test and the next time you transorted them, it was to the morge. Never freaked me out too much though. |
