So there's a sporting goods/gun shop near me... I know the owner (business name omitted to protect the guy I'll have to rib over this).

I looked in my local paper and this ad from his shop was in there. I was seriously like WTF?!?! when I saw it, and wondered:
1) How did I miss any discussion about this, if it's real and
2) How would it even work?

A quick google search resulted in the original source of the photo used in the ad.

I'll get a better scan later (this was taken with my cell phone) so this can be saved to the annals of internet photo material. I'll have to ask him who's responsible for making his ads.

Leave the guy alone and let him sell all the AK-15's he wants.

Not a bad price for ammo at a local shop...

Don't think that's bad for an (assumed) DPMS AR15 either...

He is a marketing genius.  Think of all the rednecks that will come by his shop asking to buy  "one 'dem AK-15's"

Pfft...noob...didn't you know that the AK-47 the Viet Cong used could shoot our ammo but our M16s couldn't shoot theirs?

Make fun of him if you want, but make sure to get your bulk 223 first. Nice price (as long as it is not wolf) 1000 rounds for $329, is it in stock?

I believe it is Wolf. They always have a couple cases of Wolf .223 and 7.62x39 sitting by the counter.

The same ad listed 7.62x39 as $369x1000.

Besides, I have several thousand .223 already... there's a licensed remanufacturer near me, and my local shop gets his 'seconds'... usually the casings have ejection dings on the shoulder... for not much more than I could reload them for. That's what I've been buying.

Any more info on the AK-15 ad? I know the guy that created the image in response to the press incorrectly reporting a shooting with the AK-15.

He's not going to sue or anything. Just curious where they got the pic.

I have seen worse.  A gun shop I know of printed a large sign saying "Ladies –– this Christmas surprise your husband with a gun!"  It alarmed pretty much everyone.
