I walk back, and there's a SHIT ton of ammo.  20 Federal 550 value packs of .22LR, 12 100 round value packs of WWB .45 ACP, more .223 than I could count, etc.  Not to MENTION all the other calibers.  It's all locked up now (used to be able to get .30-06, .308, etc. right out on the shelf near the rods and reels.

Must be NO ONE shops for ammo there.

Did you buy anything? I know I would of bought all the 45acp and a couple 22lr 550packs to be sure.

I live in suburbia (filthadelphia) PA and my Walmarts are always empty.

What the fuck?

I don't have any money right now, but I picked up a .45 value pack.  I don't own a .22, so I didn't get that.

Even if you dont own one, 22lr is so cheap you'd be a fool not to have at least 20k on hand...

That made absolutely no sense, though.  I don't own a .22, nor will I.  I don't enjoy shooting one, and don't feel confident trying to kill with one.  That, grasshopper, makes it pointless.

I would have bought every box of 22, 9, 45 and 38 they had.  Then I would go to the other walmarts in the area and do the same.  This is my Sunday ritual.

They finally raised the price of .22 bricks enough where people say "$26? Fuck that."

Seriously!  I went to 2 of my 3 local Wally Worlds today, and the 2nd had .45 but would only sell me 5 boxes a day.  Freaking ammo rationing!

They don't ration shit here.  When I asked how many boxes of the .22 he had, he said "well, there's 8 here".  I said "Oh, ok" but then he countered with "but if you want more, I've got another two cases out back".  I sad "naw "

I'm not made of money, guys.  I make minimum wage, 35 hours a week.

Damn. I was up there last week and didn't think to check.  Unfortunately, it's too damn far to drive just to pick up 20 bricks of 22 LR.  (I have a home that's in the very lower right-hand corner of the county, about an hour drive to Sayre (30 miles to Towanda))

My local Wallyworld (down near Philly) had 4 boxes left of the 22 packs; I bought them all two weeks ago and they haven't restocked.

Yep, $13.47 for the federal 550's.

$29.97 for 100 rd .45 WWB

Didn't check .223 as I have plenty, since I have no AR atm.

You're a funny one.

so what lots of other shooters do. With ammo as scarce as it is, those bulk packs make mighty good bartering items.
i don't own a .45 but buy the bulk packs anytime i see them. great bartering to those too lazy to buy more than 1) 50rd box at a time.

Tried the one in Aston, PA?  It's off 322 near 95.  I go there every so often, just to buy ammo.  They occasionally run out but they generally have a good stock of Federal .22, WWB 9mm and other calibers.  I don't buy .223 there so I haven't been looking for it.

Mine's wiped out. I was there yesterday and took a stroll through Sporting Goods to see how they looked and it was almost bare.
