What's the problem?

Whenever there are thread about that particular "rebel" flag (which many still incorrectly call the Stars and Bars

), there are many people who post that the flag is about state pride and heritage, nothing else - and that it has nothing at all to do with slavery or racism.

If that is true, then it seems prefectly natural for any number of blacks in Georgia to want to express their pride that their candidate won along with pride in their state. After all, there are a lot of blacks in Georgian and other southern states.

That said, there may be a bunch of poor white folks who voted for Obama in the hopes of better health care, jobs, free dental insurance or whatever. Obviously Obama wasn't elected purely based on the 13% of the population that is black - so there are undoubtedly a number of white people in Georgia who might really value the old GA flag or the "rebel" flag (and it's history and heritage) who enthusiastically voted for Obama.
