Anyone who would put beans, corn, hominy (???), pasta, and especially RICE (!!!) in chili should be strung up and hung by the neck until dead.

Sounds interesting. Hominy is certainly an authentic southwestern foodstuff. I'll give it a try unlike some of the othe WET BLANKETS here.

Google some recipies for Posole. Unlike Menudo using tripe
 this can use pork loin/ground pork and white hominy in a chile soup. good stuffl

I have been using hominy as a replacement for the little dumplings and noodles in soups and chowders since we went gluten free. Works out alright.

san antonio, the birth place of the dish known as CHILI is a cubed meat dish made with peppers, tomatoes, onions and more peppers, maybe thickened with maise or mesa as needed,
beef, stewed with peppers, onions, tomatoes, beans and or corn or any other veggies is STEW,,,it may be stew with a chili flavor, but it is STEW CHEF

They opened up a "Steak N Shake" fast food joint near us, and the kids like to go because of the shakes. They offer chili with SPAGHETTI!
 What in the hell possessed someone to put chili on spaghetti?Not that their chili is chili anyway. It's more like red beans and rice without the rice and some token hamburger meat in it. |

My son is living in South Carolina now and so far he hasn't found what could be rated as a good Mexican restaurant. then again he thinks shrimp and grits is good. blecchh. Shrimps fixed just about any way are good. Grits are good just about anyway they come. But shrimp and grits are a disaster. |

Cornbread and chili is good.
Frito pie (fried corn chips and chili) is good. Beef enchiladas (chili con carne and cheese rolled inside a corn tortilla) is good. So - What's the problem with putting a corn product in your chili?
