That said, I for one am growing weary of seeing backwoods white men ridiculed.

Yes, stereotypes are often valid –– and hilarious.

But I remember the old original Beverly Hillbillies show which ridiculed backwoodsmen –– and yet showed them as people with high ethical values, and good moral character.

I think I heard years agao that this was the case.

Some local boys got paied to go on the show and act a fool.
