Honey-baked ham, smoked turkey, corn souffle casserole, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing, green bean salad, crescent rolls made from scratch, all from the lovely hands of Miz Hun.

For drinks I have egg nog with rum, a couple of nice red wines, ice tea, and Mimosas for tomorrow morning!

She and I are also making white chocolate & macadamian nut cookies from scratch tonight and she says I get to lick the spoon.

At least that's what I think she said![:I]

Our family always has lobster legs, lepsa (sp) bread (which is Norwegian, basically potato bread), and these desert items that are shaped in cones (the name escapes me right now).

We also open presents on Christmas Eve at 7 PM and go to our stockings on Christmas Day.

The deviations are mainly of Norwegian roots.

What's the difference between "fixins'" and "fixens'"?  One night in the fridge?

Ham, Turkey, Cornbread Dressing with turkey in it, Broccoli and rice caserole, cranberry sauce, green-bean caserole, rolls, sweet tea.  For dessert, German Chocolate cake, pecan pie, sweet potato pie, cookies, fudge, rice crispie treats, and other assorted goodies.
We have one feast on Christmas eve and another on Christmas day with just the close relatives.  Last night I was actually able to refrain from going back for seconds and I didn't eat a single dessert, even my grandmother's famous German Chocolate Cake.  May have to cheat my diet today and get a piece of that cake..... the devil made me do it.

Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, bourbon sweet potatoes, cream corn, and my wifes famous green bean casserole. Yum! That combined with some Kendall Jackson Chardonnay and some ice cold Budwieser, that's some serious eats!

Thank god I married a good cook. Which reminds me, I need to start working out again soon.

Anyway, happy holidays to all.
