Remmebring a thread here on ARF where a Campus police officer had the hots for a college professor at the college he worked at..A few guys said "she is out his leauge/class, a campus cops and hot professor, aint going to happen, she is out of your leauge"..

Started to get me thinking about girls I ever dated out of my league and if we were older things may have been different for both of us..

I was working as a armed guard at a fancy high rise fancy 32 story apartment complex.. She was a doctor (resident) she was 26, I was 21. We met at work and she use to pass by my desk and  she said hi, and asked me about gettting a key to the indoor pool.. About a week later she came down to the desk again, and what time I got off work and we went out to a local bar a few miles down the street with some of her freinds. After 3 months we moved in together when my lease expired at my apartment..

I do rememeber the snobbery I would get from meeting her friends. We would be talking and laughing ect.. and everything was fine, and then when they asked what I did for a living I replied "securirty guard".. I could littlerally see the smile on their face disappear.. She didnt care what I did for a job really and never was a issue for her.
Her parents were pretty cool but her mom asked over christmas when we went to visit and the first time I met them"whats he going to do with his life be a security guard forever"..She explained i was only 21 and still in college. We lived togther for over a year and then parted ways.

I think If I told them I was a working at "the Gap or Ambercrombie and Fitch" which pays $6.,50-$7 an hour, her freinds and parents would have more respect for me. But I was a full time security guard on my own in college partime, it was like I was bound to go nowhere.

I never even considered a girl out of my league unless she was really good looking, but never due to ones job.. Now as I am older and reflect on it, and see my single buddies still dating in their late twenties their "job" becomes a big issue with the ladies..Example My buddy Matt he is 35 years old, works at a resturant as a waiter..He has a $200K house paid for and car paid for and He told me when he was drunk and showed me his bank statement ($450,000 in his savings account!) He got his money from an inheritance. But says the ladies look down at him becuase he is a waiter and they cant get past that..

I am so glad I got married young, where people got married to people they loved for who they were, not what they have, or the kind of work they do, or who they maybe in the future.

I feel bad for the guys dating in their 30's. Seems as women get older, they are looking for something really important to them and thats Money and status..

So you have any stories of dating outside of your "league"?

Why, yes, yes I did. A woman who later became my wife. I definitely "traded up". We've been married happily for 20 years.

Theres no such thing.

The whole "out of your leage" mentality is why guys get stuck with ugly chicks.

ETA: What you're talking about OP is gold diggers. Just a step above prostitutes.

Yep, twice when I lived in PRK.

Wasn't any big deal and since I pretty much knew I was  "plaything" I didn't get too emotionally involved. I had my fun, they had theirs, we parted ways amicably.

They were both big $ executive-large-company types, I was (at that time) a sub 30K/yr middleman. I DID get some good gifts from them though.

Not quite the same, but when I was in the AF many years ago as a Senior Airman I dated a 2nd Lieutenant, a huge no-no. She was a blonde from my home state and we hit it off.

I still am, we've been together for 10 years!

It took a LONG while for her Dad to accept me as I'm just a backward-assed mountain boy, but we're pretty good friends now.

My wife?  MD in a few months.  Although I have every intention of pursuing a degree once life allows.

I am out of my league by many standards.  My wife would disagree.

Women aren't attracted to men.

Date: 2007-10-18, 7:04PM EDT

Women are not actually attracted to men. There is a vague idea of what a man is physically, and some are better than others aesthetically speaking, but the purely physical appearance of a man is almost inconsequential unless he is horribly ugly or outrageously attractive.

Women are attracted to status, money, how much a man smiles and laughs, how many friends and resources a man has, how full a man's life is––how many "cool," "exciting" and prestigious things he is doing or connected to.

They are interested in how other people view him––how many people want to be around him, how other people interact with him and whether their interactions convey that he is special and amazing. They want him to be extremely outgoing and aggressive, they want him to demonstrate his status over other people by dominating them in various non-violent ways.

A woman's attraction to a man is a function of her jealousy at the thought of another woman having that man. She doesn't care who he actually is or EXACTLY what he looks like physically, she only cares about the VALUE of the life he has constructed around himself.

A woman basically is a greedy materialistic prostitute. Although that sounds vulgar, it's true. She trades her physical self to buy into the success a man has created for himself.

As a man, I fall in love with how a woman is physically. I fall in love with simple parts of a woman. Like the way her hair falls around her face, the line of her neck, her shoulders. They way her ears might peek from her hair. Her eyelashes. The size and shape of her hands, her fingernails. The way she walks, the way she looks when she is tired or annoyed, the sound she makes when she sneezes, coughs, or cries. The way she sits in a chair. The way she breathes while experiencing different emotions. The way her lips move. A million little things.

Sure, a huge part of my attraction is mental, but the powerful seed of love that builds within me and crystallizes is based greatly on visual things that set off torrents of emotion and need.

It seems to me that women almost cannot think for themselves. Their estimates of worth are based on other peoples' estimates of worth. They don't really find an object beautiful on their own. The object becomes beautiful when other people let her know that it is beautiful.

I'm completely unable to reconcile the differences between men and women. It seems like success with women is equal to spending half of your life working to create a giant illusion, something vastly tiring and annoying, while sacrificing your own true self and your own interests. We construct our lives around nest-building. We're like male birds building nests and showing them off to attract mates. It's pathetic. Everything we do is to get women. It is a fucking shit deal.

Someone needs to invent a drug which has no hormonal imbalance side-effects but is able to erase a man's sex drive and attraction to women. It would increase productivity rates to incredible heights. I'd be free and happy. I'd feel complete. I'd be able to concentrate on my biochemistry studying.

Yeah. We met when she heard me quoting Samuel Johnson to some friends at a restaurant. (It was that line from Rasselas, "Marriage has many pains, but celibacy no pleasures") We dated for a few months..then she got a full ride scholarship for a PhD at an ivy league school and left me forever.

Yeah, my fiancee...  She's a 4.0 GPA  USF Graduate.  She very smart, beautiful, and I've always wondered what in the hell she sees in a guy like me?  I'm just averaging slightly above 2.3, not that great looking, and I have some street smarts and a few things I've learned in the USMC.

She says it's the personality, confidence and the humor that she's attracted to, including body warmth (since she's always cold and I'm always hot).

Honestly, she's way out of my league, but I've kept her attracted to me somehow.

there is no league.

All it takes is confidence and knowing how to talk to people.

I suggest that you read the following "The Game by Neil Strauss" and "The Mystery Method - by Mystery"

both are available on torrent sites...

I dated a beauty queen type a little bit in school that I thought was out of my league.  She was not too snobby but there was just way too much competition for her attention and we parted ways.  I saw her the other day at one of my son's ball games and she looked like she would dress out at about 220.  I LOLed.
