God that movie was awful.  I had such high hopes that even if the movie was HALF as good as the game it would be ok. Leave it to Hollywood to make it absolutely horrible.

yes no and no ya, the PG13 thing had me worried for sure, but I thought it might just be that they watered down some of the edge of the game while the story remained intact. Not the case. Aside from names, there were very few similarities in the movie to the game. You'd see a familiar name, but the character (if they even appeared in the movie) was completely different from the game, and played a different role. For example, the ONLY mention of Vinnie Gognitti was a sign "Gognitti's Self Storage". Vinnie was nowhere to be found. Lupino was a fucking joke. Wooden, there was no Wooden. There was no inner circle, there was nothing! The word Valkyr wasn't even mentioned until the 3rd act! Ridiculous. |

Wait, I thought the game came out after the movie. Now Doom. Loved the game, but I was thoroughly unimpressed by the movie. Maybe they'll come out with a Doom II. II was just as good as the first Doom, so that must mean the second movie can't be any worse than the first... right? |

the resident evil movies were... ok...
I'm trying to think of a good video game movie, and am coming up blank. It's sad, because there really are soem decent stories out there in video games (like Max Payne), but it seems that no matter what movie makers just can't seem to stick to the story. Comic book movies are so successful because they stick to the story from the comics. |

Wow, I really liked it. My brother and I just watched it yesterday.
I own and really like Super Mario Bros., great movie. I was disappointed in Doom though, no fricken demons, come on!! The only video game movie that totally sucks is House of the Dead, yeech!!
