My office is in the end of the building with floor to ceiling windows across the packing lot is an apartment complex is is older I will say. Right now there are cops cars blocking the roads into and out of the complex and I can see several officers. Two of interest who are posted behind a tree and are watching something with there weapons drawn. The complex is about 50 yards from my window. I just saw one officer walk by with an AR/M4.
Updates and pictures I am working on. Update 1: Possible man with gun held up in apartment. Update 2: There are trees and crap in the way for pictures but SWAT is here. Update 3: Confirmed from Detective there is a man barricaded with a long gun? what ever that may be. The SWAT truck and whole team is here, a command post is being established. I have tons of pics and will get them up as soon as I can. News crews have started to arrive. Interesting enough one of our guys lives in San Antonio and has an apartment in the complex when he stays here mon-thurs. The barricaded man is in an apartment on the opposite side of he building. He is over here in the office and not in his apartment for those wondering. Update 4: The man is alone in his apartment and is said to have a "stockpile" of weapons. They are in for the long haul to wait him out. I have some pics coming of SWAT guys climbing into the ceiling appearing to be trying to use some optics to see into the apartment. They have tapped into the phone lines also. The man has been given a cell phone but I do not think he is answering because they continue to use to loud speaker on the truck. FINAL UPDATE: After pizza came for the officers, we left sometime around 8pm. It seems that around 9pm the used gas and extracted the suspect. By 10pm it was all over. Ill post pics of pizza delivery and the aftermath of the guys apartment. The whole ordeal lasted from 3pm (first patrol officers on scene) to approximately 10pm (everyone left and there were water bottles, police tape, and trash left at the scene). And interestingly enough I learned (see pics) that some Houston SWAT officers carry PS90s. Some gun porn in the later sets of pics. |

Cool!
Run outside real quick with gun drawn and let everyone know youve got the whole thing under control!!! You are the only one purfeshunal enuff on this crime scene!! YOU sir ...are ARFcom's finest!! |
Tell them coppers i'm not comin out!
That one truck toward the beginning looks identical to the ones on GTAIV, i'm gonna take it and ram other cars till they splode! |
I never get why criminals barricade themeselfs. If I were a crook I would not pin myself down, I would try to blow through the initial LEO's and there perimiter. They are the least prepared to hold you down and you would want to take the initiative. Oh well criminals are stupid. |

He's over in west Houston, so it's probably like it is here.......... Partly cloudy and hot. |
can you use MSpaint and circle which unit they suspect the bad guy is in?
I got a kick out of that pic also. The Police Explorer or Cadet got there first and is holding up the tape for the uber cop to go past. the irony is strong with that one. |
