We, the USA, should not give the tiniest fuck what any other country thinks about our business.

Well, it kinda reflects what the world's general opinion of America is like. Not that it really matters though.

Obsession with the opinions of Europeans is emotional immaturity at the least and neurosis at the worst.

I agree.  Screw the other countries.  they should worry about their own state of affairs rather than ours.

He's pandering to them

"Interested men, who are not to be trusted; weak men who cannot see; prejudiced men who will not see; and a certain set of moderate men, who think better of the European world than it deserves; and this last class by an ill-judged deliberation, will be the cause of more calamities to this continent than all the other three."

I believe the logic is that by taking into account what they would want, we could potentially improve our foreign relations.

But where does that end? If the European Union is uncomfortable with US citizens owning guns, do we repeal the 2nd Amendment to appease them? If they don't like our presence in countries that would otherwise be a safe haven for terrorists bent on attacking the CONUS, should we pull out?

Ultimately, our decisions must be made for the people effected most by them. Us.

Have you ever read the Declaration of Independence? Have you noticed the "open letter" qualities of it? Here is a link.

http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm HERE

It's one of those document's that I have too much respect for to just cut and paste.

We are not in this world alone.

You should care, just like you care wether or not the car beside you speeds up when you want to change lanes. You flip on your turn signal, to tell them of your intent to change lanes or maybe you don't. They speed up and cut you off, they slow down and let you in, or they do nothing. Their action/reaction can have a pretty serious impact on you, but it doesn't usually change your final destination. Unless, they hit you. I saw an armored truck that was rolled after a shunt with a Fiat X1/9 once...

because its probably a good indicator of who socialists faggots would vote for...

...hence, you can easily identify the most unAmerican candidate.

oh yeah, and I don't care AT ALL.

My question is why they think its any of their concern.  I find it funny that many Europeans talk about how much we suck, but then turn around follow everything that happens in America, politically, entertainment wise, etc.

Of course, lots of Europeans like us too.  I met a lot of people from Holland when I was there who were really positive about America.  Germans seemed not to lean one way or the other on the whole.  French people were another matter all together.

Small samples I know...

Anyway, I don't care what they think.  Most of them do not understand the principles our great country was built upon.  If they did, they'd probably be fighting to overthrow their governments.

Sir, FWIW I lived in Italy for seven years and have traveled all over Europe as well as a few other places.  In my times overseas there never seemed to be any shortage of critics of our government and president.  Eventually it became somewhat aggravating and I usually brushed it off by stating that I didn't want to talk about it.  The reason most Europeans have opinions about our government and president is because our president is considered the leader of the free world and as such a defacto leader to them.  IMHO that does not obligate me in any way to pay any attention to their opinions, I'll vote my choice regardless what anyone says.  JMHO, 7zero1.
