Anybody remember Combat Arms Magazine. It was published in the 1980's. It featured arms used in combat from all over the world. I had a few that I was saving but I can't find them now. One that I remember was the issue that reported on the replacement for the 1911. It had a sidebar that said that the Glock missed the deadline of testing by a few months. It also had a article on the AK-74 and the "poison bullets" of the Soviet Union.

Yep, I liked that one too. How about Fighting Firearms, another excellent but short-lived mag IMO.

...or -sniff- Firepower.  Used to walk halfway across town on my school lunch hour just to get a copy from the only place within seventy miles that sold it.

Small arms review is a good replacement for those mags.

ar10er, I know I won't respect myself in the morning but I agree on "Small Arms Review."
