I would seriously take up diving... I dive and would like to have an all expenses paid trip to the BVI.
Diving is one of those awsome things in life, relaxing, calming, beauty of the sea, wrecks, try it out while your there. |

I spent a week down there (BVI) on a 44' sailboat back in 96. Traveling from the USVI to the BVI was night and day. In the USVI we had to lock everything up, but in the BVI we didn't. Make sure you go visit Virgin Gorda and see the BATHS. Discovery bay (in a lot of sailboat pics when the sailboat is beached) is right near there if I remember. Get some PUSSERS RUM in Road Town [:D] Go to Norman Island and take a raft into the pirates cave. sniff sniff (smells like sulfur) I've never scuba dived, but I did alot of snorkling. Dive on the needles, I did some snorkling there. Tons of fish are all around you. Its great. Enjoy! |

Well, here I am in Barbados. Plans changed. I am here for two weeks then on to BVI. Already hooked up with a British lady and just got here last night. Guy offered me some ganja almost before I got off the plane. I am being a good boy and declined. Life is hell [:D]
Have to limit my internet time because am sharing with a guy who is already here and doesn't want me to hog it all. Will get my own when I get to BVI. Will post pictures when I have some free time during daylight hours to take them. See y'all. |

I can relate. I had to live in the USVI ( ST. Croix) for 5 years. Going back here in 2 weeks to locate more "work". Learn to Scuba dive while you are there or at least take an intro class. That will get you in the water in 1 day and let you see if you like it. The BVI are self governed now IIRC. I would also suggest a trip to St. Croix. Very untourist. Not many get that way. I will be "on island" from 11-17 to 11-26.
As far as safty, you will be good in the BVI. IfI where to go to the USVI, I would be armed. Take a knife everywhere. If you whant anymore info e-mail me. R35 |

Oh poor baby, you have to spend winter in the Caribbean. Where I used to work they would send us to beautiful, exotic places right after they became total shitholes. Embassy duty was ok though.

Here are a couple of quick photos taken from a moving car. One thing about working in a place like this is that you see areas that the tourists don't. Lots of poor people here. I have heard that the beach here in front of the hotel is tops optional. Maybe some good pictures this weekend.

went to tortola for a day from a cruise ship- I personally did not care for it much-but we did not have much time to see the island-just some shithole hotel on the far side that charged 5 bucks for a lemonade that tasted like dogshit. I would recomment the pussers rum- some place had it over by the dock-got a dring in a cool tourisy coffee mug.

Nice pics. When are we going to see the topless beach pics? [;)] My ex-wife and I went all over the Caribbean but never got to BVI. Spent some time on St. Thomas though. Had fun scuba diving, shopping, playing on the beach, and dining out. I don't know about BVI, but USVI everything is duty free and about half the cost of U.S. prices. I got a $400 Seiko watch for $200 no tax, and some leather luggage and other stuff. I recommend you take a sunset cruise. IIRC, it was about $10 and includes an open bar, appetizers, a live calypso band, and GREAT scenery. It goes out before sunset and returns later in the evening. Have fun, and TAKE MORE PICS!!! [:D]

Big Bear, I have some topless shots from Barbados, where I still am, but I bet if I post them, Goatboy or some other mod will lock this thread. Mind you, these are women lying there topless in public and any kid walking by will see them, but they would be deemed inappropriate here. Won't make it to BVI until next weekend.
