A2 & CAR stock.  Is there a notable difference between the two?  I'm advising a female friend about her first AR purchase (actually I'll be assembling a kit for her) and the overall weight of the rifle is an issue.  Any discernable difference?

BM Lower, Telestock, 4 position 1.94 lbs
BM Lower, A2 Stock, A2 Buttplate 2.56 lbs
