I had Janes Fighter Anthology It has footage of AC130, and since it is a combat simulator you can also try piloting one.

yeah, here's another "no s---t, there I was" story:
Worked with AC-130's on the ground as a grunt with 2nd Ranger Btn. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Sounds like one long fart when the minigun goes off -- solid stream of tracers from the bird to the ground. Tell your friend they are the real deal and check out the first vid link on this board. (Worked fine on my computer) |

That mini-gun is one bad### weapon. I was gunner on gun truck in VN. Had a M-2 .50 cal. on each side and mini-gun in back. 6000 rds. a minute. Good, dependable and simple to maintain. It looked complicated, but most parts, there were 6 of them so it was really simple.
