I don't believe in any of the crazy conspiracies. So take this with a "just wonderin" attitude.

I was just on Drudge and there is a story there saying the university will not hand over to the police the security tape of the professors door where the noose was hung. Now, why won't they hand it over if it will nail the perp or perps.

Could it be that when the university looked at the tapes the professor was hangin the noose?

I mean kinda coincidental this type of situation would happen so soon after the Jena bs. Not like it hasn't been done before.

entirely possible

I'd be surprised if it wasn't a hoax, frankly.

It's just a couple of dumb drunk Freshmen trying to get something on the news.

If the media would quit making a huge deal out of it and putting Jessie Jackson on TV to talk about how horrible it is, no one would do it.

my exact thought when I first heard of it.  There have been a number of cases like this in the past couple of years.  In fact, I think there was one at UVA?  Too lazy to google it now.

Columbia University officials are withholding key evidence of a hate-crime occuring on their campus.

So where's the Al & Jesse rent-a-mob???

probably just a two-half hitch; but like over-reacting to airsoft guns, you can never be too careful.

Investigators reviewing video tapes

well well well, interesting that the university would not turn the tapes over without subpoena.

Place your bets as to whether the professor hung the noose there.

i'm pretty sure this whole thing, you know, with certain groups of people being "outraged" and protesting until criminals [who beat a kid from another group] are released from prision over an insult, is a hoax.

My gut feeling from day 1 has been that either she did it herself or conspired w/ whoever did it. Motive = media attention, etc which of course = $$$$

Potential courses of action by Columbia University

1.  If the professor did it - no action
2.  If a person other than a 'right-wing, neo-con = 88 hater" did it - no action ala GMU and the faux-hate fliers (which were racist in their own right).
3.  If a stupid 19-year old "white person of privilege" whose politics are not left of MoveOn.Org did it - BURY THEM!

It must be a hoax.  If a white student did it, it would be like the duke mess all over again.

Same shit happened in some fire stations in Jax FL. Investigations led nowhere, except away from white folks.
Then the story went away.

Sure, let's call it a hoax.  How many Katrina "victims" have claimed that the levies didn't break, but the .gov shoved a barge into them to break it.  And I think you know which people claimed the hoax.

What's good for one is good for the rest.
