Well, we found ourselves going up to Yosemite (yes... AGAIN) and enjoys some SMOG-FREE air. HOLY CRAP we were in Deer Hunter's heaven... final sighting tally was something like 3 dozen mule deer (mostly bucks), 2 black bears, 2 coyotes and 1 mouse (which I will get into later... that little bastard!
If hunting was allowed I bet I could have filled our RV with enough backstrap to exceed the RV's weight limit... Those deer have NO IDEA how lucky they are to be protected there.
Some scenery
This guy was literally 7 feet from us... and no hunting allowed?? DAMN!
Here are three bucks just chillin' in the meadow
Here is one about 20 feet from me.
Same guy crossing the road
OK SO... now the mouse story... First night up there... my daughter and I were talking... my dog who was sound asleep jolts up to stare at the passenger seat of the RV... she stares for a minute or so then goes back to sleep... about a minute later... she bolts up again...
This time I light up the area with my Surefire and ... WE HAVE A STOW AWAY!!! mouse goes running across and now I am on a mission to get this little turd. I spend all night (until 4:45 am) trying to kill him with a BBQ brush... No luck
So next morning my bride goes into town to get mouse traps... she finds a 2 pack... I slather the first one up with peanut butter and set it... wake up the next morning to find that not only it hasnt sprung... but the little bastard cleaned off ALL the peanut butter
Night 3.. I make a concoction of bread and peanut butter into a dough ball and press it on the trap tight....
Next morning...
GLORIOUS!!!!!
