I just got off the phone with customer service.  Friday I got an e-mail offering an SUV for $40/day.

I booked the next day, 22hrs later.  $68/day.  

I called and complained, it seems that it was a limited time offer... and I am SOL.  They had met their quota, and no more vehicles were to be offered at that price.

I told them that there was now one more available, as I am canceling my reservation, and I feel that they had been deceitful and dishonest.

Now to find a rental car.

I used to rent from them when I was working on a project out in Denver and other than price there were no redeeming qualities about them at all.  One time they left me waiting outside on the red side at Denver airport waiting for their shuttle for over an hour at 11pm at night and it was abut 28 degrees out.  I called them about 5 times and every time I got through all I got was "The driver left 10 minutes ago".  

I'll never rent from them again.  I'd rather spend extra and have my car waiting for me using the Hertz Gold Club service.
