I have the opportunity to pick up some neat stuff right now, and one of the items on the list is a Colt factory 6920 that has the "Restricted Military/Law Enforcement/Export Use Only" crap on it.  It is used but looks to be in pretty good shape.  Should I go for it?  I kinda owe the guy selling it too, so if the price is only a little high I will probably still take it.  I can't seem to find many used ones for sell, so I haven't got a lot to compare it to.

ETA He has three used ones his department is selling, as well as three marked AR-15A3 that also have the LE markings.  The AR-15A3 ones are 900 each.

UPDATE:

I got it:

Carbine sitting on the safe...

A look inside where part of its new family awaits...

And a look at my pathetically low ammo storage...

I bought that safe about a week before I paid for the 6920.  I am now 1900 dollars happier and just thrilled about it.  Stay tuned for pics of my birthday present to me in the next week or two.

If it is the newer bolt carrier assembly, yes.

I'm not sure the difference?  How can I tell?

Pop open look at rear of assembly full circle (newer) vs. C shape (older).

it really doesn't matter... colt has three different bolt carriers

Match Target style - half circle rear, unshrouded firing pin
LE style - half circle rear, shrouded firing pin (you can't see the firing pin collar)
M16 carrier - full circle rear, shrouded firing pin (preferred, they started shipping these after BATF approval in their LE series back in 2005 IIRC)

A NIB 6920 is about $1200 and it will come with a full-auto bolt carrier (highly desirable IMO). Based on that, judge if this 6920 in the condition that warrants a $950 price.

To your question, buy it, you won't regret it at all.

So is he selling the other two for $950 each, as well? Or is that deal just for you?

Edited 'cuz I spelled 'buy' wrong in my haste to recommend buying.
