Does any else have issues with Outlook 2007? I have a brand new laptop and it loads really slow! I even did all the downloads and ran some of the tweaks.

Anyone else having issues? And yes I am running Vista Business, XP would have taken 3 weeks to deliver when I ordered and I had to have a computer.

I also like Thunderbird, but I am limited to Outlook 2003 at work.  2007 is coming and I am one of the first to use it here.

I have had no issues with Outlook 2007. I have seen someone with a slow down issue the update below fixed their problem you might give it a try… also check for any more updates in the Outlook help menu.

I have had numerous problems with a brand new notebook running Vista Premium and Office SBE 2007.

It got errors with Outlook and wouldn't even open.

I ended up going back to 2003 SBE for the fix.

I am pretty let down with Vista and Microsoft and I supported them against attacks in the past. Boy was I wrong.

Your problems most likely stem from Vista

I haven't tried the latest version of Outlook.  I use it at work.  Coupled with Exchange it is pretty darn good.  At home I role with Evolution.

Also run PC Decrapifier on the computer to clean up any junk the manufacture installed. Always a good idea on a new factory computer.

MS updates are like new shoes.  They make you bleed for a while until they get broken in.

Between Vista and 2007 you laptop is going to be a slug. We have been running 2007 since November, Im a network engineer. I have not had any problems with it since install but i have it running on XP.

If you have Vista running in Aero tone it down to classic and all the bells and whistles will go away but your system will run better. Also under the properties for my computer set the advanced settings to adjust for best performance. It will help some, if you dont mind me asking how much RAM and what kind of processor are you running?
