We, the undersigned, pledge not to patronize US domestic airline
companies until the airlines, in conjunction with the FAA, relent on
the insidious firearm ban for pilots, crew and passengers. Based on
sound statistics, armed citizens substantially reduce the potential for
criminals to act and carry out criminal activity when confronted by
armed vigilance. It is despicable that the US government, in
response to the acts of September 11, has a virtual "black-out" on
the idea of armed citizens' complementing the country's newest
security measures. We will resume flying once sensible measures
have been instituted whereby airline crew and passengers are
allowed to protect themselves as they see fit.

reply to bill of rights---shall not be infringed-I do not read anything about bad guys in there. The purpose is so that the good guys,hopefullly the majority, will always have a weapon to defend themselves against the bad guys......

Reciprocal CCW permits with special high-security area rider.  How do you verify that a bad passenger isn't trained to kill using his or her bare hands?

I don't believe that the airlines would ever let us go armed, but I signed anyway.  The thought is that perhaps the FAA will allow the pilots/crew to be armed, as a compromise.  I suppose that the passengers would need CWP's to fly with their weapon, but it's a pipe dream to begin with.  Also, every drunk asshole on the plane could blow holes in the plane every time he wanted to.  I have flown with too many whacko's to advocate arming the passengers.  I think we should set our sights on arming the pilots and crew, having Air Marshals on more flights, and perhaps letting CWP holders be armed if they are flying to a state that honors their permit.  There could be legal issues if they use airspace from a state that does not honor their CWP, but that is for the courts to interpret.
