Last night on his Good Eat show, he talked about making stew.  To demonstrate the properties of collagen, he went to a pistol range and had a guy shoot a .45ACP ("145 grain jacketed hollowpoint") at a block of ballistic gelatin, then picked the expanded bullet out of the block.

I can't imagine any other TV chef doing that, except Anthony Bourdin, who took a shot at a seal with a rifle (and felt queasy about it)

He's a iron butt motorcyclist, knows about ballistic gelatin and makes and an interesting TV food show. Sounds OK in my book.

It was a 230 grain jacketed hollowpoint, and there is a thread on this already.
