check the DOJ handguns approved for sale in cali. list every day to see whats the latest that passed, and seen under Walther that a P1 has passed. Checked the Walther site no listing of a P1.

Unless I've been terribly misled, a P1 is a P-38 (9mm)luger that was made post WWII.  The sucessive models were P2, P3, P4.  I own a nice P4 and it is a favorite.  Need more mags though.

Ditto what Rangermaster said. Somebody just imported a bunch of almost new ones. Just like P38 with alloy frame. SOG has them...

They shouldnt be, they are post war manufacture.

I dont think that even P38's are C and R.

P08 Lugers I am pretty sure are C and R.

They are correct, the P1 is a postwar P-38.
