Whew.  $20 off $250 Midway coupon code suckered me in again!  I can't tell you how much ammo I already have hoarded away (it's never enough though).

9mm, .22 LR, .223/5.56, .38 special and .357.  I wanted to buy a XD-45 next but I can't afford (money or room) to stock another caliber.

Is this a disease? Just an obsession?  Or foreboding, knowing that the days of easy and affordable internet ammo purchases won't last forever?

Pics? It's the only way we can make a proper diagnosis.

If you are shooting it up as fast, or faster, than you buy it... it doesn't count... and you shouldn't feel the least but guilty about it..

I probably shoot less than 25% of what I have been buying!

Ha, never even thought to post pics!  Everything is stacked away very neatly and it is a bit of a pain in the ass to get everything and put it away again... BUT...

Please tag this thread.  I PROMISE that when my latest ammo order comes I will put it all out for a picture or two.  Since I have to rotate my stash anyway to put the newest at the bottom and in the back (as a kid I worked in the Dairy section at the local supermarket).  The stuff should come around Friday and I'll have a chance next Sunday (1 week from today) to do this.  Stay tuned!

ETA:  Not to mention that my wife won't be home next weekend.  If she saw all this ammo she'd go NUTS!  Fortunately, I have it well hidden, along with my firearms (of which she knows about 1 out of every 3 that I own!)

Exactly how in the hell do you "hide" ammo? That is a foreign concept and quite impossible to do.

Dude, get the XD45!  It's great having 45 ACP around to keep the 223, 12 guage, etc company!

Since the Dem victory in November, I have been buying like crazy. Next weekend, we will be having another gun show and I will have to come home with another can of radway or adcom. Maybe even some more expensive ammo. I also have to buy some more 45acp. This is getting expensive!

I got a $20 Cabelas coupon and immediately used it to get a bunch of 75 grain Black Hills Blue Box (too bad they didn't have any Mk262 seconds in stock).

On the bright side, it ain't getting cheaper anytime soon (if ever).

Here's but one way.

Wife:  "What's inside the safe?"

Me: "Just some documents, papers and old coins.  Nothing interesting, sweetie."

A very meger stash

That's not the whole stash by any means.   Thats about half of my .223/5.56 only.  I know it's not much compared to many on here, but wait till next weekend before you judge.

I was just posting the pic as an example of how I hide my stuff from my wife.

I also have an old broken down freezer in the basement that I "might be able to put freon in one day and get it to work" (wink, wink) and big stereo speakers that don't work but that I keep "for sentimental value from my teenage years" (wink, wink).

You put it in 'the Man space' (aka 'The Garage'). Hell, if I could figure a temp-safe place under the hoods of the cars, she'd NEVER find anything I put there.

I might as well hide 2 hookers and a $1000 bill under the wife's pillow, she probably find that second.

Walk in door from show. Wife says did you buy anything. Me, "heck yes, what do you think I went for?" Same for boxes stacked by door, and and so on. After a while you have desensitized them properly and they no longer ask you dumb questions.

[Or, you can always bring up the "Didn't you buy new shoes recently?" thing, however if they haven't, they now, under the rules of "shoe" are allowed to buy a couple of pair.]

10,000 rounds per each cali. should be your goal.

Working towards that!  A little bit at a time, as I can afford.

That's why I can't open up a new caliber (.45 ACP) as much as I'd like to.
