So I'm getting a few calls each day from folks who want me to use them to consolidate my student loans.  
The weird thing is that as soon as I tell 'em that I got my loans through Sallie Mae, they promptly give some form of an "oh.  Well, you have a good day."

It's kind of freaking me out.  Just a little. kind of.

Anyone know what's up widdis?

I think I read somewhere if you consolidate your college loans you loose some protections you had with the original loans.

I consolidated my student loans with Sallie Mae.  I'm still very satisfied I made the best decision possible.  I had another company trying to get me to consolidate my s.loans with them too, called "Nelnet" I think.....they wanted to rape me in the butt though.
