I've been thinking of doing this for a long time.
Today was the day.  It is more comfortable IWB for me without that point pokin me in the hip. If I were to do it again I would wear out the grinding wheel a little before starting so it didn't leave such deep gouges. Now where's that G19. |

I bet you could use some super fine grit sandpaper and smooth it up by hand even further, if the cutting striations bother you.

If you want it to blend in better with the rest of the gun, try sandblasting it with the black high-grit media. Should give it that textured look.

I used some 400 wet/dry for the final pass, thats what's pictured. It started getting pretty glossy and slick on me with the fine paper. At a point I said good enuff. |

You are probably right. I use the cheapest Uncle mikes black IWB. I cut the clip off and just tuck it in my belt strongside. It works great but no 1 hand reholster. I use the same syle holster for my KT p11 and my Kahr pm9. |

I may try that low wattage soldering iron stipple trick if I go through with the complete grp reduction. |

I stippled mine and reduced the grip a bit. I like it much better, but not sure if I could sell it anymore.
