I watch maybe 2 hours of tv a month. I guess in all reality, I don't need it. Kinda pricey, anyway.
Anybody else just not watch TV? vmax84 |

I don't watch much, but I have cable. Otherwise I'd only get two channels, and one of them poorly.
PLUS, I have broadband through the cable company. I'll NEVER go back to dial-up. My wife & grandkids watch the TV. |
This would be me. but the GF needs to have the boob tube. |
I don't have cable but do have satellite - I watch about 15-20 hours a week. A couple hours a night during weekdays and more during the weekend. During the week I'm watching shows from the 70's and classic movies.

no cable here. rabbit ears all the way.
Looks good next to the record player... |
Same here. I get the broadband through coaxial cable, via the local cable company. We have the box and get great reception, but no cable channels aside from C-Span. I'd kind of like to have the 24 hour news channels, but internet's good enough for that. I can get the good video clips from The Political Teen blog. |

We have Dish Network, Direct TV is crap! |

cable? tv? satelite? no way! blockbuster DVD's thru the mail. I watch CSI/Law & Order/24/New releases / Classics all the time in DVD quality (that's 'digital cable' like to u guys who pay 60 bucks a month for that) WITHOUT Commercialshe...

No TV for me either. I gave it up 6 years ago and haven't looked back. It's just useless mind garbage anyway. If I want to watch something I will either rent a DVD or pick one of mine from collection.

You're not missing anything, save your money.
I hate TV, but get overruled by the wife LOL. I won't even be in the same room as some of the dumb shit she watches. |
I dont have cable TV. My big screen doesnt even have an antenna attached to it.
TV rots your brain. |
Same here. |

It's interesting what you think of it after taking a long break from watching it. I pretty much hate most of what's on now. The tv in my bedroom hasn't been plugged in for months. I do watch Leno/Conan but that's it. I'm also busy online or playing guitar while it's on as well.
The shows are crap. The news is crap drama queen propaganda. I don't need it. |
nope, I don't have satellite either, and my tv only catches three stations, two are mexican stations and the other is PBS,
good thing about it all is, my spanish is getting better, downside is, that I think I'm turning liberal. |
you dont. it's a crappy show |
Are you a hippie?
I'll be missing 24 and a total of 10 days when we go to fiji. |
me? no, I smell far too good to be a hippie |
no, it sucks. I bet you think that the 5 or 6 stargate spinoffs actually have good acting |

I would be without cable if I could actually pick up a reception in the valley I live in. We just have most basic cable package they offer(everything you get off the air + like 2 or 3 other channels).
No cable or satellite TV either, but cable internet. My children watch way too much free TV, and I just watch PBS, locally in the Los Angeles-are there are 3 PBS stations ch 28 KCET-Los Angeles, ch58 KCLS-Los Angeles(official LAUSD), ch 50 KOCE(Huntington Beach, Orange Coast Comm College Dist), ch 24 KVCR(San Bernardino-San Bern. Valley College).

Nope. |

I moved out of town and left the dish at the old house.
My new place had an ancient antenne on it, so I thought,"what the heck" and put a new feed and a signal booster on it. I now get 7 standard def. digital channels and 5 high def channels. That gets me by for the 8-10 hours of tv I watch a week. total cost to me, $25 |
I had cable(tv) and got rid of it. I never watched it. Always too busy doing other things.
My ps2 & vcr are the only things hooked up to my tv. Have a cable modem...so I'm online alot...fast connections are nice. |
I've got a nice HDTV, and rabbit ears. I mainly use the set for movies. I refuse to pay over $600 a year for cable to not watch what I don't watch now.
Poor student. hi speed is $30 WITH student discount. if basic was $5-10 with the hispeed I'd have added it. they wanted $20-25 Fuck'em I got rabbit ears.
No TV at all here. There is nothing worth watching besides the BBC's Top Gear, and Fox's awesome combo of 24 and Prison Break. Computer monitors have far superior resolutions anyway. My children will grow up without a TV as well.

Your fecal matter stained jeans would beg to differ, Mr. Commando. |

Broadcast TV only, cable internet, n cable TV.
Damn I miss some of my shows.... Stargate for one.... No Expert |

One would think that we could get TV through our computers.. You can make phone calls now.. why not get tv on computers...hmmmmmmm ?? |
