My friend is completing an avation mural in our basement...

He isn't finished but, it looks good so far...

This is the aircraft my father flew during his time in the Navy...

The name has been blurred to protect the innocent...

That's kickass man! I have always been extremely jealous of those who can create art. I am good at academic things but don't have the aptitude, practice, patience, or skill for art.

So what are you doing for decorations in the rest of the room.  I'm always looking for ideas to steal inspiration.

NEWSFLASH!!!

If your dad flew A7's...he didn't really FLY anything!!! He willed the lumbering hulk in certain directions by swinging the pole, (sometimes having to use his feet to move the stick) and was merely fortunate to survive all of the controlled crashing that took place to get him back on deck and into the chowline!

I'm sure he'd agree with that...

He flies MD-11s and DC-10s now and his squadron flies F-18s...

Dude, that's really cool! I grew up watching A-7's all day from my back yard. Now it's  FA-18 Super Hornets buzzing my house. Gotta love the sound of freedom!
