I am no expert but one mag looks like there are words stamped on the side. I haven't seen any like that before.

Those "words" are the restricted markings.........I have some Center mags at home that are like that. |

They also look like the "7 inch AR-15 mags" you used to see all the time on eBay, back when mags were OK as long as they weren't "hi-capacity."

Yep. A acquaintance of mine actually purchased 30 round magazines off of e-bay during the ban amazingly... and it was when he was on my dorm floor freshmen year.
