Well the wife wants me to build an outdoor gas firepit. We have a gas line that comes out on the back porch. I think it is for a grill. Has anyone built one?
I ordered a burner from this place

Now I jest need to figure out how to run the gas line. Does anyone know the code on how deep is has to be buried?

Here is what I'm shooting for. I think I can do it for under $300,

Call your gas company.

I looked at doing something similar and was told it needed to be at least 18 inches deep.
