we're moving into a new house end of april and we'd like to replace the countertops with maybe granite, quartz or corian (sp).

Just looking for opinions/experiences with any of these and maybe where you got them.

Thanks for any imput.

I just put green Brazilian granite in my house. Corian is almost as expensive, and I don't like fakes. Marble is too soft. Don't know about quartz.

It pays to shop around, price estimates varied pretty dramatically.

You can educate yourself pretty well online before you go shopping.

Granite costs a fortune, but is damn near indestructable.  The Quartz products are more robust than Corian, but come in limited colors and textures.  Corian is very pretty, but can be damaged.  Even though it pained me to spend what we did on granite, we couldn't be happier!
