Whats your Favorite Cigar? After range time or hell during?

I was smokeing the Padron 3000 fot the last 5 years or so.

But now I have to say R.P. EDGE M torpedo.

I like this Cigar better than my Dads cubans he brings back from his trips!

and  my Bushmaster / LMT M4 upper

You guys that like a strong cigar without the harshness try EDGE MADURO

I went through the cigar phase last year, bought a humidor and all.
Spent a couple hundred $$$ at least.  It was fun while it lasted, now I stick to Swisher Sweets,
those Outlaws are hand made and decent.
If u like robust try Industrial Press, the last third is money.

I have an Oasis in one humidor and it works very well.

Oh, my combo would be a CMP AR and Hemingway Short Story - both old school.....

Fuente Don Carlos, Hemingways, Opus X or Padron Anniversarios (regular or 1926). You havana boys can keep those. I've had a few and the last good one was a Hoyo de Monterey Double Corona about 6 years ago. (absolutely amazing smoke) Too hard to find, too pricey and too many fakes! The dozen or so I've had since then were less than par & I'm pretty decent at spotting fakes. Fuente & Padron have you covered AND you can actually find them. I often enjoy mine after a range trip with a good bourbon & coke.

BTW, if anyone wants to try & convince me of the Cubans being better, send a box or a couple my way & I promise to keep an open mind! trade you for some ammo!

Wow Ican't believe the number of cigar smokers on the board! Very cool! My faves, Ashton VSG, La Flor Dominicana Double Ligeros, anything Arturo Fuente with Sun Grown wrapper.
Incidentally, my family grows a lot of the wrappers, fillers, and binders that you guy's mentioned in your favorite cigars.

Now a days Cuba has nothing on us! Back in the 90`s yes!

I like my EDGE Maduro better than any cuban to date!

However I Do like Romeo Julieta Churchill  in TUBO and #2 Monte

Someone just had to do it!!

My Brother In-Law got me hooked on good cigars smoked with some Hennessy or Courvoisier last year, the Wife was less than amused. She can handle multi-thousand dollar ARs, numbers matching Garands, and precision bolt-action rifles. She views them as hunks of metal really, but she also knows they can save her life, so she shoots and trains with them often, and that is what makes them acceptable to her. But the first couple boxes of Ashton Churchills and Montecristo Churchills that showed up at the doorstep and it was war!

Of course I played out a dirty little guerilla war and wore out her resolve and can now claim victory, but it was a costly one.

No not serious actually. My lungs are smoke free, I hate to smell like shit, and lip cancer is nasty as hell. To each his own, but tobacco products will never enter this body.

I dont puff da ganja, mon, either. That's money I could be spending on bullets

No, I'm not trying to fuck it up for you. I just think this thread has no business being in a technical discussion forum and has nothing to do with ARs (regardless of how many AR pics people post).

What I would like to see is either...

A. A Moderator stop by and do his job by either moving or deleting this thread.

B. You "Man-Up" and contact a Mod and explain to them you fucked up and posted this in the wrong forum and ask him to move it.

or (and this is the best one yet...)

C. You cough up $20 for a membership and post something like this in the team forum which is the perfect place for a thread like this.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be an ass (I guess it just comes naturally ) but if I wanted to read stupid threads like this I would go the the GD forum. (and If you care to check you will see that I almost never go to the GD forum

The topic is "Best Cigar/AR Combination". Hence it belongs where it is, in the "AR specific forum".

If the topic was "Best Cigar/AK Combination", the thread would belong elsewhere, and the answers might be very different.

I like anything Fuente, plus a Padron Principie Maduro, and Cubinitos (Fuente brand) before, during and after shooting my AR.

I haven't seen one "handle" on this tread that I would recognize over at CigarFamily.com.  You guys need to post over there. Lot's of gunners there too and a ton of cigar knowledge.  It is the Fuente/Newman cigar site.

I also enjoy shooting my M4 the most as well.  Bottom one (obviously). Hasnt changed much except it wears a pentagon 9v now.

img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/marksman14/Picture003.jpg

-10 for having a magazine with Alec Baldwin on the cover!

That was the point

Stickman, pick up some of those tubes that you can see in my humidor.  They work AMAZINGLY well.  Just fill em up with distilled water, and turn them upside down to let the excess drain.  Throw em in just like a cigar, and they work great.  As long as they're filled, they keep my humidor at a good 69-71%.

I just picked up a cigar oasis XL, so we'll see how that works.  Nothing like good old fashioned electronically regulated humidification  I set mine at 71% RH

+1. CAO makes consistently good cigars. Just the other day my buddy and I smoked some CAO Cameroons...while enjoying the company of a DSA 16" FAL, an Arsenal SLR-105 A1 (AK-74), a G3 clone, a Sig P229 and a Wilson CQB Compact. I'm telling you, beautiful weather, good friends, cigars and guns, no better way to spend an afternoon. Well, there might be a few better ways.....

CAO's Extremes and Golds are good, too. Onyx is a brand that is growing on me, as well. They have one cigar that scored a 94 at Cigar Aficionado, Reserve I think. Anyway, they are only about $10 bucks and EXCELLENT.
