I just found my Swatch clear watch from the 80s.  Thank God its dead.  I remember the damn ticked so loud, I would try to bury the damn thing in my sock drawer to keep it quiet.  Even then some times I had to take it to the bathroom and close the door.  Damn things were LOUD.

Take it outside.

Shoot it.

Twice.

Sentimental value. First GF gave it to me.  On her other hand she did cheat on me.  I think a nice 50 bmg should go through it nicely.

Was it 87 (eighty seven) times louder than any other watch?

Off topic:

I remeber this guy.  Bob Ross.  He'd paint these great landscapes in about 20 minutes and then he would paint this big ass tree right in the middle of the damn thing.  If someone would have just hit him with a shovel about 22 minutes into each show they could have saved a lot of nice pictures.

With that said, back to your regularly scheduled gay watch thread.

One might argue that he died for painting trees.

He was killed to cover something up, and I intend on getting to the bottom of this.

Don't shoot it - if it's one of the clear "Jelly" Swatches from the mid-80s it's worth $200 on eBay.  Sell it and use the money for Hookers & Blow.  Then send the cheating bitch pics!

PICS

I had one of those.  Back when I thought having the same clothes as popular rich kids would also make me rich and popular.

Total cargo-cult thinking.

I know a guy that would still wear his. About a year ago I finally had to tell him to, "throw it away because it makes you look like an idiot". He doesn't wear it anymore, but I bet you a dollar he still has it.

A pox upon those who ridicule Bob Ross!!!!  A POX, I SAY!!!!!!

Bob Ross was like the Mr. Rogers of the adult world....I have seen the meanest and cruelest of people reduced to mouse quiet babes as they watched him paint......

He's probably done more to calm and relax people than all of the psychotherapists on the planet.

Bob Ross is dead.

Bob Ross is dead.

LONG LIVE BOB ROSS!!!!

now back to the swatch bit.......

I think PBS paid Mister Rogers to whack him.

Mr. Rogers was a Navy S3AL or Marine Sniper, I forget which.

He could handle the painter himself.

Members Only jackets.

My sixth grade teacher had at least half a dozen, in different colors, that he'd wear all the time. I remember the kids in the class would always ask him "are you in a country club".

Oh man, those jackets, along with hypercolor T-shirts, Reebok pump sneakers, Swatch watches...

I liked the show.  Wife and I watched it a lot on PBS.  The only thing we liked on PBS.  I just hated that damn tree he always painted at the last minute.

"Now.  I think big,  beautiful tree lives right here in front of the mountain and river I just spent an hour painting..."
