I do not think so. I worked armored car for years and in their vault. We moved $1 million dollars around in a plastic crate on wheels. Unless it was in $1000 bills or something, I think your memory may be a little off. I can remember picking up a bag worth $150,000 and thinking, "damn, that would pay off my house!" I probably picked up bags worth a lot more, but that one I remember in my first week of working there. I also remember "finding" a bag of $35,000 in one of the trucks at the end of the night that was never accounted for. I could have walked out with it, but I notified my supervisor. |

I had to let someone else post a pic before I did... Here is the most I've ever photographed... Shortly after the picture was taken, I spent it on a Beretta Elite... |
2.3 million, I even got to smell it.
It was a cash run for dispo. at an APO/FPO and I was providing security for the money run. The thoughts in my head... |
About 15,000 dollars. |

A tad over 12K cash...payout after silver salmon season in Alaska in 1981.

I received a check for $268,000 but I had to give two-thirds to my parents and I deposited all of it in the bank.
I've only had $1000 on me in real money. I got a $100 bill for my birthday a few weeks ago. I had it in my pocket for a whole week. I forgot to use it, I have gotten into the habit of using my debit card instead of cash so I deposited it into my checking account. Only Waffle House is "cash-only" here so I don't "need" money. |
$5,000,000 when we were preparing to open our casino and we were stocking the vault room. It wasn't in my hands but I pushed the cart around inside the vault.
$150,000 in cash. Wrapped in tinfoil in the fridge. My parents didnt like banks!
I wish we had some of that left. |
Ido think so. Ok I did have it in three large bags. I worked armored cars for years too! Picked up from three banks in one day including the Fed. Reserve. Who did you work for? |

Around 30K at my first job as a cashier. Counting out the day's till and the manager asks me to guess how much money these two fistfuls are.
I touched a fully loaded armored car once. I don't know how much was in it.
In cash-equivalents, $219,000 yesterday. Sadly, the vast majority of it wasn't mine

$1000 in 20s and $500 in miscellaneous bills (total $1500) liquid cash. I took the $1000 from the bank where my mother withdrew it, put it in the envelope with the $500 from my father, and took it all to my bank where I deposited it, my hand on the envelope in my pocket the entire way. It was a christmas gift.
Non-liquid, a $4000+ watch, an Omega Seamaster of some sort. I was trying it on because I want to get one to replace my Wenger sometime. Having that much in a fragile object that isn't yours makes you really careful about handling it and how you place your hands, especially with the armed security in the jewelry store. |

My own money, about $15,000 back in 1980 when I sold a condo for $90K. The check was for over $25,000 but the bank said they didn't have that much cash so ...

The last vehicle, Jeep Grand Cherokee, I purchased was with cash, just under $5K from the bank to the dealer.
