WTF is wrong with me.

I smell things that are NOT there. But the funny thing is... they are NOT new smells... it is like i am re-smelling.

For no reason:

Sometimes, I will get a wif of perfume from a woman i did a long time ago.

Sometimes, i smell feces.

Sometimes, i smell a summer rain.

All while sitting at the computer. It is weirding me out... seriously. It's not like i was thinking about them.... and then I rememeber the smell. I am REALLY smelling them.

it's sense memory.... kinda like getting a song stuck in your head. even if you havnt heard the song in a long time, it can pop in. i imagine this is the same thing

I thought synesthesia was when you get senses confused. For example you are able to taste a sound, or hear a color.

I thought synesthesia was when you get senses confused. For example you are able to taste a sound, or hear a color.

Synesthesia is not necessarily a confusion of the senses, but an involuntary joining of a real sensation with a perception of another sense. My feeling is that we all do it to some extent. Minty things are usually a certain color, there are "Blues" bands, hot food is usually red, but I believe that it is possible that one can manifest these symptoms to an extreme and have sensory memories triggered that make the perceived sense more real.

I have been told by a neurologist that I'm anosematic.

I have no scense of smell.

It's NOT A TUMOR and no you can not have my guns.

I guess if you are going to loose a scense that is the one I'd pick.

Like I always say, "There is more things in this world that stink that smell good."

Now I judge the rankness of my farts by my buddies reactions.
