Guys,
I have a few guns that I am fond of. My 2 most heavily used are a S&W model 10 and a 9mm OLY. Both have been stone reliable and accurate. But my favorite was the 1st gun I ever bought, Winchester Super X. Spent many weekends shooting skeet. So how about it, what's you favorite?

My newest one, a pre-owned Ruger single six. What a little sweetheart of a wheelfun.
I especially like to see the kids shoot it with CB caps at tin cans. Its status of "favorite" is subject to change without notice.

That is a very difficult question.

M1 Garand I gues I'll have to say.

To me that weapon just embodies America to me.

I'm going to get flamed for this but my favorite is my Universal M1 Carbine.  Yes, I know - Universals are a poor quality commercial copy of the M1 Carbine.  But I bought this rifle the day I turned 18 and holding it still brings back memories of how I felt back then.  I still remember that day 24 years ago when I brought it home and my brother and I took it apart to see how it worked.  It's also just plain fun to shoot.

My first semi-auto: Colt government model,  purchased in '83. Basic combat package by Wilson's a year later. I installed the beavertail grip safety and solid stainless barrel bushing myself, sometime in the 90's.

Sadly that is a Self loading SLR.
Does not have the L2A1 Selector lever, required to make it Auto.
It has been there and done that though.

This is an L2A1 with lever in fun position...

Well, of those that I have owned it would be the S&W Model 10 bull barrel (my first gun), but like a fool I sold it years ago.  I have since re-aquired a model 10, but it's a pencil barrel, so it's not the same.  Of the the current guns I have, I would say my P229 and my MT6731 with a Kurt's Kustom A2 brake.

Of those I have been issued by the .mil and/or .gov the M-16A1 and the 1911 as a MP.  Followed by the S&W Model 64 bull barrel I was issued as a very young Deputy in Florida (stainless version of my first gun).

ETA another favorite would be the S&W model 67, but again I sold that years ago.

A better word to describe this answer would be "overall" favorite.

Honestly it is my Ruger SS 22/45 4.5" Bull Barrel with a HiViz front sight and Volquartsen trigger

Close second: My DPMS M-15 AR.
