+1.  You'd have to enclose it in glass or acrylic otherwise it would be a total bitch to keep the dust out of but it would be an amazing addition to a room

No idea, I'm guessing not as long as one may think.

I do wonder what such a huge slab of Teak goes for........

......given its about $18.00 per Ln ft for 6"x3/4" stock.

Teak is a pretty expensive wood to be doing that with it.

But I've made some AR furniture with mesquite.

I used to sand Teak for a living.

I hate Teak.

fucking oily, sensitive wood.  

shows sanding marks.
