I know these days being tactical is all the rage. But now those who would never normally be thought of as tactical, can be!

I can see it now. Spring Turkey in the morning and home defense for the evening.

+1.
My slug gun was "tactical" long before I thought that way.

That stuff works both ways.
But I don't think I could bring myself to use it for marketing.

I just found it funny that Turkey Hunters and the word tactical would be grouped together in the same sentence.

If Remington put out a Tactical Turkey series, i'd buy one. The 20 inch barrel allows for better room clearing and more efficient pie slicing.

Pass the gravy.

Remington quite making the Competiton Master because it was too tactical.  Itseemed more home defense buyers were  buying them instead of 3 gun shooters.

It's tiring seeing all the AR-15 parts on rifles that aren't AR15's.

The only problem is Mossberg's top-mounted safety.
But yeah, lots of "Turkey" shotguns, if left black instead of camo, would be considered "tactical".

Those tactical turkey hunters would be illegal in Illinois if Blojobovoitch had his way.

At a gun show last weekend, I saw a few neet looking Remington 870 with
a laminated thumbhole stock and forend.

Edit:  (except the ones I saw were polished laminated wood, not camo)

I read something like that but Remington evidently didn't think it was all that negative.

I suppose that automatically makes it an assault shotgun. Next thing you know, you'll see a tele-stock on a Red Ryder...

And had a cantilever scope mount?
If so that'd be the slug version.
It's the only one I've model I've seen like that.
I'd like to get one in the camo, without buying extra bbls, or shipping it off for paint.

The safety is only an issue because of the pistol grip.
Without the pistol griip the tang mounted safety makes the most sense.

Beretta had one too.

This is good because it may help to make the 'protruding pistol grip' a SPORTING configuration and take away some of the ATF argument that keeps some of our favorite guns out of our hands.
