Is this a bad idea? I don't shoot my SOCOM as often as I should, but I always like keeping whatever mags I have for all my firearms ready for instant use.
Does it do any harn to the mags themselves to always be loaded and not cycled through? |

Dude, you ask way to many questions. Give it a rest, will you please. |
Thats all???
200rds???? man the Zombies will eat you alive FREE |
no, it is a great way to roll. What wears out mag springs is cycling, not preload. Keep em loaded. You will only wear them while shooting them.
The other 600 rounds are still in the crate. I just don't have enough mags to go around. |
+1 Stop creating to many damn stupid pointless retarded threads. |
+1. Can we get rid of this guy already? |
Hey Bro Do a search. Type in magazine and you will find your answer, plus there is a mag. section here. Its ok to ask questions some here get tired of the often weekly or monthly repeat questions. Don't worry about it. |

Well congradulations. You also have about twenty topics in the General discussion boards alone. |

Solution-------> Get more mags |

+3 he's reminiscent of FOX- ...very very annoying, but manages to skirt the line without ever actually crossing it. |

This guy posts almost as much as me.
This is a really dumb question BTW! |
I'll tell you once more. I wasn't here then. I joined up about a week ago. Maybe less. |
166 posts in a week or less? |
Don't they teach stuff about springs in high school physics?
That's only about 15 posts per day. I saw someone yesterday with over 50 posts per day. |
That implies that SIG-24-7 has even made it to H.S. . |
Is this truly necessary? Are you that bad of a shot? Keeping any Magazines fully loaded will gradually weaken the Magazine Springs. |
Not really. Seeing how I've been told one thing and then another about springs and mags. Thought maybe some of the veteran members in here would have the correct info. |
You will get used to it. Poke around on the site some in every nook and cranny, surprising what you will find. Oh, and welcome. Danny |

Wrong... Springs weaken with use. |
elastic hysteresis |
it's the expanding and contracting that weakens the spring, not sitting static, loaded or empty. loading and unloading mags is what wears them out. i have no idea what hysteresis is, but it is of no concern to me. |

Fixed it for ya. They are 20 rounders. |

He's almost got me beat! B_S |

Wouldn't 20 M1A mags be 400 rounds?
20 X 20 = 400???? ETA: Okay....didn't see the post above but he caught the mistake. Hey Sig-24-7....how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Some guy told me a number the other day but I want to get some differing opinions from some experts. |
