He is, my uncle ran one of the boats they use/charter as a cast or camera boat for the water scenes on the show... The guy was a real asshole. I got a picture some where of his clothes, holster, etc laid out on the bed in the master cabin. I lived in Miami when that show was on, it was a big deal then. ETA: If eveyone in Miami had taken their shoes off at the same time, the smell would have melted the city. Nobody wore socks, Miami Vice made that cool. |

Crockett was definitely the man. My sister lives in Miami. Back when the show was on the air in 85-87, she would take me on a tour of the locations used in the series. I even went on board one of the yachts used in one of the episodes. Miami Vice went down hill after the third season, but it was the best show on TV for it's first 3 years. It was a major mistake when they had Crockett get married, then the amnesia episodes when Crockett turned criminal pretty well killed the series off. But man were those first 3 years great!
